Heroism as a factor of personified symbolization of socio-political development

Abstract

The role and main directions of understanding the problem of heroism as a personified reflection of the symbolization of socio-political development are systematically traced. The defining approaches to the problem of symbolization of politics and power of foreign and Ukrainian researchers are singled out and characterized. The role and real influence of the figure of the hero in socio-state development at different stages of the evolution of human civilization are clarified. Heroism is considered as an integral component of social mythology, the features and possibilities of introducing mythologems into public consciousness are substantiated. The modern features of the production of heroism by means of political propaganda are revealed on the examples of russia and the DPRK. The role of heroism as a factor in establishing national identity and defending the sovereignty of the state is conceptualized. A conclusion is made regarding the necessity and main directions of studying the problem of heroism against the background of Ukrainian society's resistance to Russian aggression, which, in particular, requires consideration and systematization of heroic symbolism in the conditions of the struggle for independence and freedom of different countries; formation of updated versions of the concept of just heroism as opposed to its political and propagandistic versions; affirmation of a creative attitude towards heroic symbols, which requires taking into account specific historical situations and the latest social ideals and value orientations. Special research attention deserves: a separate consideration and systematization of heroic symbolism in the context of the struggle for independence and freedom of various countries and peoples against the backdrop of Ukrainian society's resistance to russian aggression; the formation of updated versions of the concept of just heroism as opposed to its political and propagandistic versions that justify the aggressive, expansionist aspirations of representatives of the authorities of individual countries; the implementation of consistent measures to form an accessible and popularized image of a true hero as the basic foundation of patriotism, a guide in life strategy and the affirmation of citizenship of future generations.
